Karma

Some people think of karma as balance—what goes around comes around.

But maybe karma isn’t about punishment or reward. Maybe it’s just the sum of the things we put into the world.

Maybe karma is the way we treat people when no one is watching.
Maybe it’s the choices we make, not just for ourselves, but for those who come after us.
Maybe it’s the stories we tell, the ideas we spread, the things we normalize without even realizing it.

Because every action, every word, every decision—it all adds up.

A policy written today shapes a child’s future decades from now.
A casual joke plants a seed of prejudice in someone’s mind.
A kindness forgotten by one person is passed down by another.

None of us will live long enough to see all the consequences of what we do.

But karma isn’t just about what happens to us.

It’s about what happens because of us.

And maybe that’s the part we should be paying attention to.
